PRACTICE INTERESTS

CRITICAL CARE

My experiences in the MICU and SICU at the 2nd largest hospital in Michigan have trained me to care for large numbers of critically-ill patients. I am uniquely prepared to offer clinical services to COVID-19 patients, as the virus hit many of my patients hard and fast, requiring understanding and application of the rapidly changing body of evidence based medicine in light of a global pandemic.

NUTRITION SUPPORT

The evidence is clear - feed patients early. The more challenging questions are 'how' and 'with what'. I have 10 weeks of intensive training in the dosing and administration of enteral and parenteral nutrition. Ultimately, I aim to become board certified (BCNSP) to optimize nutritional status in my patients as a component of holistic care delivery.

HEALTCARE BURNOUT

Clinician burnout plagues our teams, negatively affects patient care, and places unnecessary financial burden on our institutions. I've developed programming and organizations for healthcare students, provided recommendations for pharmacy residency programs, and am prepared to collaborate at the system level to prevent and reduce burnout.
